We won 'Most Unique' at the Freestone Fermentation Festival!!

WOW, the Freestone Fermentation Festival was a blast!! It was great seeing all of you! There were so many kinds of kim chees, sauerkrauts, pickles, cheeses, things I've never heard of, and of course lots of great kombucha!

Our Candy Cap flavor kombucha won 'Most Unique' at the Festival! It is made with locally collected wild candy cap mushrooms. They grow under live oaks.  We collected the mushrooms used in this kombucha last January in the Oakland Hills. The fascinating thing about candy cap mushrooms is that when dried they smell of maple syrup. They are added to cookies, ice cream, and even cheese cake. When added to kombucha they add a delightful light taste of maple, reminiscent of cream soda. I hope to see you all Freestone Fermentation Festival next year! It's bound to be a great fun and tasty too!

My website is a work in progress so please keep checking back.
